Multimedia 1 - Record your newscasts into GARAGEBAND.  Please ask for standbys so you may get a clean recording.  Include music and and photos relevant to your story.

Graphics 2 - We will review your layouts and discuss your compositions.

Multimedia 1 - Work on finishing your GARAGEBAND project.  All photos must have a Chapter Title.  Every 5 photos you must narrate the photo.  Add a cover album to your project.  Underlying music should not overpower your voice.

Graphics 1 - Today, we will present you sketches in class and scan your drawings for the AESOP project.  Design for a children's book.

Graphics 2 - Define: ORPHAN, WIDOW, and GUTTER as per typography.

Day 16 - Wednesday 9/21/2011

Aesop

Graphics 1 - Finish the  LANDSCAPE PROJECT.  Work on 3 sketches for an AESOP fable.  You will use the same technique with gradients.  Design for a children's book. 

Graphics 2 - Finish creating your grids that were started yesterday.  Begin working with your typeface.  No non-type graphics.

Multimedia 1 - Finish up your PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT and begin piecing together your PODCAST in Garageband.  All pictures must be LABELED and a minimum of 5 SECONDS.  Add music and narration to the slideshow.  Every 5 PICS should have your voice relating to the Composition and Values of the photo.

Day 15 - Tuesday 9/20/2011

Graphics 1 - Work on the  LANDSCAPE PROJECT. 

Graphics 2 - You will have time to finish up your papers on your FONT.  The paper should be posted to TURNITIN.COM.  We will spend the second half of class working on creating a grid.

Multimedia 1 - Today, I will go over the basics of GARAGEBAND.  Be sure to take careful notes.

Day 14 - Monday 9-19-2011 HOMECOMING!!!

Graphics 1 - Today I will demo the LANDSCAPE PROJECT.  You will use the PEN tool and SHAPE tools to create some basic shapes in a landscape design.  We will be introduced to the GRADIENT.

Graphics 2 - Type a 1 page paper on the fon you have chosent: ORIGIN, RELEVANCE TODAY, & WHY YOU CHOSE IT. 

Multimedia 1 - Work on your PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT.  All pics must display the principles of photography listed on the board: RULE OF THIRDS, SIMPLICITY, FRAMING, TEXTURE, LEADING LINES, & COLOR.  All pics must be a minimum of 1000x1000 pixels.

Graphics 1 - Work on the PEN TOOL EXERCISE.  When you finish you may begin on the LANDSCAPE PROJECT.  You will use the PEN tool and SHAPE tools to create some basic shapes in a landscape design.  We will be introduced to the GRADIENT.

Graphics 2 - Define: LINE, SHAPE, & BALANCE.  Work on finishing up your 2 LOGOS.

Multimedia 2 - Today we will look at the galleries of the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC.  Choose a photo to discuss with the class.  Then I will lead into the PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT.
